Our Signature Process
Phase One:
Initial Exploration
Building on the insights we gathered during our initial consultation, your project begins with a detailed exploration of your objectives, tastes, and lifestyle—all the way down to how you love to entertain and what brings you joy. We’ll refine your project’s scope, explore design ideas that honor who you are, and establish a shared vision for your home that feels authentically you.
We’ll explore design solutions together, creating preliminary drawings and concepts that help you envision your transformed spaces. We’ll also develop budgets for finishes and furnishings, and create conceptual design boards that bring your aesthetic to life. This phase includes a conceptual presentation to ensure we’re aligned on the overall direction.
Phase Three:
Detailed Design
With conceptual approval, we refine every detail—from product and material selections to custom millwork and furnishing designs. This phase culminates in your comprehensive design presentation with detailed floor plans, elevations, renderings, samples, and swatches. Larger projects may include multiple presentations to address every space thoughtfully.
Phase Four:
Documentation
With final design approved, we prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications to guide the build and support the permitting process, ensuring your contractor has complete documentation for a seamless transition into Design Support.
Phase Five:
Design Support
Throughout construction, we provide dedicated project support—conducting site visits, collaborating closely with your contractor, and procuring furnishings, materials, and every item under our care. As construction nears completion, we’ll prepare for furnishings installation with a final walkthrough.
Phase Six:
Furnishings Installation
Once your home is ready for furnishings, we’ll coordinate delivery of all Studio VAE items and oversee installation to ensure every piece finds its perfect place. We’ll add the finishing touches selected specifically for your home to complete your space.
