Design Day in San Francisco and the Surrounding Bay Area
Designed in Your Home, Ordered at Your Pace
Not every home needs full-service interior design. Sometimes the house is finished and the rooms aren’t: the living room that never quite came together, the bedroom still waiting on lamps. Design Day is our flat-fee interior decorating service for up to three of those rooms. You receive a layout and a home furnishing plan, with everything you need to order and install at your own pace. Available throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area.
Your Design Day begins with Veronica or Aggie spending up to four hours in your home, getting to know the rooms and how you live in them, followed by the layout and sourcing behind the scenes. Within two weeks, you receive your plan for furniture, lighting and accessories, designed around the pieces you already own and love. Every item is specified through retailers we recommend and ready for you to purchase on your own timeline.
Design Day is well suited to completing a few final rooms, phasing a furnishings budget, or taking a hands-on approach to purchasing. The design fee is a flat $5,000, for projects with a furnishings investment starting at $50,000 (spent directly with retailers).

How Design Day Works
Step One:Getting to know you
Before your Design Day, we get to know your taste, your home and the pieces you’d like to keep. You complete a design questionnaire covering your style preferences, the materials you’re drawn to and any furniture to incorporate, and send inspiration images along with photos and measurements of the rooms. We review all of it beforehand, so we arrive knowing your style and your goals.

Step Two:Your Design Day
Veronica or Aggie spends up to four hours in your home, focused on your three rooms. Together we walk the spaces, talk through your goals and set the direction of the plan. The rest of the time is spent behind the scenes, creating and refining your furniture layout and sourcing the specific pieces for your rooms.
Step Three:Your design plan arrives
Within two weeks of your Design Day, we walk through your complete furniture plan together in a virtual presentation: every piece we recommend for your rooms, sourced and available through select retailers. Where the design calls for it, your plan also includes paint and wallpaper recommendations, for you to arrange with your own painter or installer.
Step Four:Support when you need it
After the presentation come two weeks of project support, for the questions that arise as you begin to order. You may also request one round of alternatives for any pieces you’d like to change, within five days of the presentation.
For guidance beyond the support window, an Interior Design Consulting session is there whenever a new decision comes up.

Your Interior Designers
Your Design Day is led by one of our two principal interior designers, Veronica Jurist or Aggie Revane, from the first questionnaire through the two weeks of support. What is Design Day?
Design Day is a focused engagement covering up to three rooms in your home. It includes up to four hours in your home with your interior designer, the layout and sourcing behind the scenes, your design plan presented to you in a virtual meeting within two weeks, and two weeks of project support afterward.

Is Design Day an interior decorating service?
Yes. If you’re looking for an interior decorator in San Francisco or the Bay Area, Design Day is the service to consider. It covers what most people mean by interior decorating: the furniture, lighting and accessories for rooms that need no construction, with paint and wallpaper recommendations where the design calls for them.
If walls, cabinetry or plumbing are changing, Full-Service Interior Design is the place to start.
What does the design plan include?
Your design plan is a furnishings presentation with a furniture layout for each room and a sourcing list: every piece we recommend, with its specifications and a link for you to purchase it. Where the design calls for paint or wallpaper, those are specified in the list as well. After the presentation, everything is in your client portal, yours to keep and order from.
Which rooms can Design Day cover?
Up to three rooms that need furnishings and no construction. Any room involving construction, kitchens and bathrooms included, belongs with Full-Service Interior Design. If you have more than three rooms in mind, Full-Service Interior Design is likely the better fit as well.
How does Design Day compare to Interior Design Consulting and Full-Service Interior Design?
The three services answer different needs. Interior Design Consulting is a virtual session for specific design questions. Design Day gives you a sourced furniture plan for up to three rooms, yours to carry out. Full-Service Interior Design is where we guide the whole project over many months: drawings, site visits, procurement and installation.
Put simply: with Consulting you decide with our advice, with Design Day you act on our plan, and with Full-Service we design it and see it through with you.
If you’re planning a renovation, new construction or full-home furnishings, Full-Service Interior Design is the right fit.
What if I want to make changes after the presentation?
You can request one round of alternatives for any pieces you’d like to change, within five days of your virtual presentation, as part of our included support. After those five days, additional changes are handled separately at our hourly rate.
Do you order or install the furnishings?
No. With Design Day, the ordering and installation are yours: you purchase each piece through the links in your plan, on your own timeline. If you’d like us to manage ordering, deliveries and installation, that is part of Full-Service Interior Design.
Are window treatments included in Design Day?
No. Window treatments call for measuring, a review of samples, and coordinated purchasing and installation, so we offer them as part of Full-Service Interior Design only. Your Design Day plan covers the furniture, lighting and accessories.
Is Design Day available outside of San Francisco?
Design Day is offered throughout San Francisco and the greater Bay Area, with no travel fee within our standard service area. For projects beyond that area, please inquire. We accept select projects further afield depending on scope and timing.
How much does Design Day cost?
Design Day is a flat-fee interior design package: a fixed scope of up to three rooms for a design fee of $5,000, paid in full when you sign your proposal and contract. It’s intended for projects with a furnishings investment starting at $50,000. Furnishings and accessories are purchased separately by you through select retailers we recommend.
